Program Leadership
I’ve spent my entire career in the non-profit space, working across various functions, from finance to research to programs to partnerships, which has allowed me to hold a unique perspective when creating and implementing initiatives and engaging diverse stakeholders.
I always come back to what I believe is a program mindset – projects that are rooted in collaboration, often scrappy and agile, and always responsive to people’s needs, ideas and feedback.
Snapshot: Programs I’ve Led
-
“Buddy Check” Program
A pilot “buddy check” initiative developed early in the COVID-19 pandemic where military-connected volunteers called others to say hello and offer kind words of support; over 1,500 calls were made and, ultimately, this initiative was replicated nationally.
-
Virtual Storyreading Initiative
A virtual storyreading program started during the pandemic that provided a novel way for volunteers to engage young people in leadership lessons through a fun and creative outlet; regular sessions activated both repeat volunteers and consistent attendance from students across the country.
-
Capacity-Building PD for Educators
A suite of virtual and in-person professional development workshops I designed and facilitated, which reached over 500 educators, consistently exceeded revenue targets year-over-year, and built positive brand awareness and affinity.
I lead projects with a focus on empathy, a bias towards learning and
a commitment to inclusion.
